 Ingredients:

  • 1 Liter Milk
  • 1 Cup Soaked Basmati Rice
  • ½ Tbsp Crushed Cardamom
  • 1 ½ Sliced Almonds and Pistachos
  • 3 Tbsp Complan Kesar Badam
  • 2 Tbsp Custard Powder
  • 1 Cup Sugar

Method

A step-by-step guide to make Kheer for kids:

1. Add milk to a heavy bottomed pan and let it come to a boil. Keep stirring it to make sure it doesn’t stick to the bottom.

2. Once milk comes to a boil, add the soaked rice to the milk. Mix it well and let it boil for 3 minutes. Keep stirring in between.

3. Check if the rice has turned soft.

4. Add the cardamom powder and sliced nuts. Mix well.

5. Add Complan Kesar Badam. Make sure it mixes well and there are no lumps.

6. Now, mash the rice gently so that they blend well in milk.

7. Make a custard slurry with milk and add it to the kheer as well.

8. Add sugar and let the kheer cook for a couple of minutes until it reaches desired consistency.

9. Let it cool down and serve!
